I know everyone has a different approach and even a different opinion it seems about internet marketing. I have been doing internet marketing since before most people even had home computers let alone actual internet access. Over the years internet marketing has changed.

Now that I am officially back in network marketing and also utilizing my internet marketing skills I have seen some things that work well for me as far as getting more exposure and web traffic. The biggest one is actually signature ads. I have to admit that came to me as quite a surprise how much traffic I get to my website from forums.

I am a strong believer in the fact that blogs are a great way to connect with people as well.

I would love to hear from other people what they feel is worth putting efforts into.

I actually am getting my "target market"...other Network Marketers.

They are also people who are looking to grow and expand their businesses. As you know, MLM is a very dynamic field...some people move around a lot until they find something that they can really commit to.

For the most part, I was hoping we could share ideas without turning it into an ad. You can talk about what you are doing without posting a link to your sites. If people want to click to see your links, they can go to your page for that.

I guess I worded my question wrong when I asked. I see how you took it based on what I asked. I think what I meant to ask was how many really good people are joining you in your business because of using someone else's "system"

What I do with internet marketing is also free, but ALL of the leads are solely mine meaning they go to my site and no one else gets their information. They only provide their contact information if they truly want to learn more AND I also give plenty of information up front so they know what they are looking at. No lead capture pages or slick sales letters. I personally find that as a turn off and what I do is try to treat people the way I would want to be treated.

It seems to me that you are right on point with your opinion on signature adds as well as blogs. I have been reading and watching a few of the free tutorials out there on generating traffic and everyone is of the opinion that blogging and forum postings are powerful tools, its just that many folks dont have the confidence or in many instances the time to actually take advantadge of the resource. Great thread I am looking forward to learning as much as I can here and contributing any new findings. Thank you for this positive reinforcement and I wish you all the best .

I more than agree that forums are a significant part of my success. But the best have been lsi- keyword optimised articles. They have worked wonders for me. Another important contibutor has been the social bookmarking sites & clubs.

Sheri, you are right in a sense that Forum can generate targeted traffic to your site. Article marketing is also a powerful way to target your niche market and drive targeted traffic back to your site. Article marketing also allows you to brand yourself as a leader and becomes an expert on the topic that you chose to write. Beside article marketing I also used several free method to generate targeted traffic to my site. One of the free method I use is ASD. All you have to do is surf a few site for 6 to 7 minutes to get free traffic to your site. This is free to join and you can read more about it by going to my HubPages.

Online: Blogging, Ezine ads, Article Writing, Google Adwords, Craig's List all tied to a great "squeeze page" tied to an auto responder to build your list.

Offline: Postcards, Cd's, Sales Letters, Genealogy Lists, Home Based Business local real time leads...all pointed to a "funded proposal".

People who respond to you through an ad or ask for more info are real prospects. It is a multi-spoked wheel...you almost have to do it all.

I also use HubPages for posting my articles and you can even use HubPages as Blog. Google love HubPages the content that you post on HubPages gets indexed very quickly on search engine. I use HubPages and articles to get my name out there so that when people do a search on my name 'Travis Liu' I am on the first page of Google.

I am using Attraction Marketing as I am teaching people how to market online. I post my content on Hubpages obviously tagging my name as a keyword so that my name would show up when people do a search. The reason I do this so that when prospect call me I would tell them to Google my name first and find out more about me and if they like what they read than they can call me back and discuss how I can help them to succeed online. Basically this process would filter out the people who are not so interested and guess what if they don't call you back they are not the right people you should be spending time on. I only work with people who are like minded.

I definitely think that blogs are a great way to connect with people and currently I have one 'Main' Blogspot
and several other'Theme Specific' Blogspots.

Although I have been spending a lot of time on
'Generating Targeted Traffic', I recently heard some great tips in a Teleseminar about spending less time on getting traffic, and more time on just providing a good product or service and create a site that's easy to 'Navigate'
etc. etc.

For example I now recently figured out how I can provide a service for my webvisitors. I figured out how I could use an
'Online Data Delivery Service' So that I can
povide interesting FREE Reports for them that might
interest them.

Also have several inspiring 'Daily Items' for them
constantly thinking about new things that can make it more
attractive to 're-visit' my 'Blogspots' frequently.

I am not saying that my 'Blogspots' are perfect,
far from that! I just make an effort to keep improving
them constantly. (that's why I also like to collect
as many 'Feedback' as possible.)

Because I think that dilvering good products or services
eventually will create 'Word of Mouth'
or

'Word of Mouse':)

Also use other techniques such as:

- a Syndicated Column
- Interesting Articles
- YouTube Promo Video's
- Link Exchanges
- Sending 'Ping's'
- Autoresponder/Mail Contacts
etc. etc.

Yes, I do believe in blogging and really love blogging,
as a matter of a fact I now already have 10 Blogspots!

On one of my blogspots I had a post titled:

'Ridiculous Energy Levels'

Accompanied with an interesting Free Report with
interesting research about what helps to be energetic.

Because I noticed that there was such a demand
for this particular post, It inspired me to create a
special New Blogspot about Healthy Lifestyle.

So I migrated some of my other earlier health
related post from my other blogspot(s)
to my new Health Blogspot.

So I do think that creating more focus, listening
closely to what my visitors want, and creating
an Editorial calender aimed at catering
to the specific needs of of my visitors will possibly
be something that is going to work best.
