I've been a celebrity hairdresser and salon owner in Hollywood for over 20 years. I've worked with some amazing people and have loved having this as a venue to express my creativity. Because of its location, my salon attracts people from all walks of life, and being in Hollywood has been an incredible experience.
But as time went on, I began to realize I had no exit strategy in place. Doing hair is a fairly physical kind of work -- you're on your feet, and bending over the shampoo bowl, and your shoulders, arms, and hands are subject to the stresses of repetitive motion. That kind of injury is an occupational hazard in that business, so it takes its toll on a body, and mine wasn't getting any younger.
Yet if I didn't work, I didn't get paid. I was trading time for dollars, with no end in sight. And through the economic dip, it seemed as if I was spending more and more time for less and less money.
Something had to change.
Well, being entrepreneurial, I've always been open to taking a look at new opportunities that present themselves.
So these were my thoughts when my mentor contacted me to join their team that's been helping others succeed in this industry for over 26 years-- because as Zig Ziglar says, you can get everything you want if you help others get what they want.
As a by-product of this business model, I've learned how to generate an endless stream of leads, if not absolutely free, then on the slimmest of shoestring budgets. And this is the information I'm happy to share for free -- to save you years of failure and frustration.
